Fantastic News from the Northeast and the Middle

Same sex marriage is now legal in Vermont and Iowa.

“Representative Robert South, a freshman Democrat from a conservative district, said he reversed his position after 228 of his constituents reached out and urged him to support the override, compared with 198 who urged him to oppose it.” _ From the New York Times Story

If you know anyone that can vote in New York, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Washington, or anywhere that has a proposal for more of this sort of positive change, please let them know that they need to be heard. As Iowa, and now Vermont have proved, most anything is possible. We’re only 46 states away from all people being equal and proper civil rights for all. It’s not a matter of anyone’s religion, or protecting anyone from anything, it’s a matter of basic human rights.
